WORKSHOP: 26 May 2008 Creative Beading - One day workshop with Lisa Walton The Creative Beading workshop will teach the basics of bead embroidery and variations including attaching cabochons. The sampler made in class will be the starting point for many wonderful future projects as well as a piece of art in itself. Workshop notes will be provided. Date: Monday, 26 May, 2008 |
| WORKSHOP: 27 May and 28 May 2008 Fabrications - Two day workshop with Lisa Walton The two day "Fabrications" workshop allows you to create your own fantasy fabrics and then cut them up and design your own masterpiece with a simple block design. Day One will involve using scraps and fibres to create your fantasy fabrics, whilst on Day Two, the fun continues as you create your quilt top from your Day One creations. This workshop is suitable for beginners or experienced textile workers, including those who like traditional patchwork but are looking for a difference in their work. Date: Tuesday 27 May

Serendipity
with Jan Rowe
Jan says "start with a blank piece of paper, fold it, draw a few straight lines
and design your own foundation piecing pattern". Using half a dozen of
your favourite fabrics and colours, you will create a unique kaleidoscope that
will amaze and surprise you. The work is pieced by machine.

Fibres West 2008 - 5 to 11 October 2008
Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School
Held every three years under the auspices of the Australian Forum for Textile Arts (TAFTA) this fully residential program includes five day workshops and lectures from outstanding international and Australian tutors in a variety of fibre/textile disciplines.
